The motif requires a high color yarn contrast to be clearly visible, as it's drawn and not a full-size file, and the background color is included. Here, it's ideal with light yarn on black fabric.
Some materials and solid files require a binding frame for additional stabilization, which you can find on your machine or here as a freebie.
